Gears are practically the most important and the most widely used type of geared systems. They are important by the transfer of torques, rotations and angular velocities by which the mechanical work transfer and transformation in machines is realised.
Gear failures represent only one of the important phenomena which may lead to failure of machines and equipment in all branches of industry and in means of transportation. The analysis of the origins of failures and their elimination creates conditions for assurance of quality and reliability of gears during their whole lifecycle.
The conference is dedicated particularly for the producers, tribotechnics, workers dealing with service and maintenance of cog-wheels and gears in all types of machines and equipment, for the pedagogues and University students of technical orientation and for research workers.
The participants of the international conference on the topic of PRODUCTION AND FAILURES OF GEAR WHEELS AND GEAR BOXES will discuss all aspects of their production and failures particularly from the point of view of tribologic knowledge.
